Why You Haven't Heard From Me Lately

I haven't been writing any haiku. I haven't been writing anything. My dad died on March 31st (it will be two weeks on Friday), and I've just been in shock and mourning. My mom and I are both holding up as best we can, but things have been crazy hectic, as well as draining and sad.

I'm going to try to write something tonight, I think. I don't know if I'll succeed. It may take me longer than this to get my words back.

P.S.--- I have the most random ads on the Google Adsense. I don't know why it thinks readers of my poetry want to kill moles. Or get rid of fishy vaginal odors. It's bizarre.

hey, just so happened to stumble across your webpage, and the news about your father is very sad, I'm very sorry. I really enjoyed your haikus (Jack Kerouac spelling) very desriptive and visually pleasing, keep up the good work, ya!
And I just wanted to drop one or two your way just to see what you think...

Blowing the door
Open, then shut
A moth flies in

I prefer concrete
To the cold
Wet bench

True, not the definitive haiku, but short and sweet nonetheless. And another interesting line just for kicks...

Every person asks "Why"
Sometime in their lives
As if Jesus is gonna just
Walk around the corner
Simply say "Because"
Then fly away into the east.

Writing can help you
open the skies of your grief
words fall as soft rain
