We would have our own person journal of published haiku from the entire year. I really like the idea of The Skipping Stones, and that is what sparked my interest in a group.

However, I'm looking for haiku poets around my age. I hope to work with a small group of friends for a good while, so I'm not really looking for somebody who's really old. The age of fifty and below is cool but thirty below is even better. I'm only twenty-two, a young haiku poet. I hope that doesn't offend any of you.

Thanks,
Dustin Nealtexas haijinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14985078734661697290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20980350.post-1148766905525136842006-05-27T16:55:00.000-05:002006-05-27T16:55:00.000-05:00Hi MarciaGlad to see you are up and posting again....Hi Marcia

Glad to see you are up and posting again.

I have two questions re your haiku - what (apart from the 5/7/5 structure) is lost if it were changed to:

Four a.m.
the broken streetlight
flickers out

And what might be gained?

Best wishes

mattmattmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04755017257191875481noreply@blogger.com
